Lula

Lula is a gem. It’s an easy-going, breezy, artsy, wonderful spot for delicious food. That right there should get you to Santa Monica, but if you need more, they definitely deliver.

The atmosphere is bright and humble, it feels like you are hanging out at your best friend’s house and your best friend just happens to know how to mix a great cocktail and cook up a scrumptious meal. Most of us are not so lucky, and that is why you need to head over to Lula. They offer more than 175 tequilas, for mixing or sipping. The patio is drenched in natural sunlight and gaiety, and the margaritas are always flowing. The cuisine is just as dreamy.

Try the adventurous lobster taquitos or the traditional guacamole. If you are sampling with friends, I suggest the tamale plate or the plato de botano. For an entrée try the rock shrimp burrito, carnitas tacos or if you can’t make up your mind order the Ricardo Sampler, it has a bit for every taste. Wash it all down with a Sin in the City, you guessed it, it’s the Mexican cosmopolitan, and its delicioso.

Lula is located at 2720 Main Street in Santa Monica, 90405. For more information call 310-392-5711 or email info@lulaconcinamexicana.com .

Are you kidding me? The food is out of this world, or at least out of this country.

A little pricey for me, but the food was delicious. If I go back I’ll split the dishes for sure, or just have appetizers and drinks.

Great staff and the food is my favorite Mexican in LA. I would highly recommend. It’s a little pricey, I agree, but totally worth it.

Good atmosphere, and they have monthly events which is cool. I’m actually quite addicted to their tamales. You’ve got to try this place.

I think the margaritas are delicious….and each week they have special creations ..food is tasty, diverse and feels like homemade. Baja tacos are my most favorite.

I agree, this place is the best. Me and my girlfriends go here on Fridays to unwind after the work week. Best margaritas around and the ambience is perfect for us. Authentic and calm. I really enjoy Lula.

Margaritas are a bit pricey at around $9 per drink. And they are good, but they ain’t $9 good. I mean, I could buy a bottle of tequila for two drinks and make my own at home. One thing I couldn’t make at home is the tamales though, they are worth the drive, the wait and the money. Tamales are spectacular!!!

High energy place without being loud and obnoxious. Food is good, I think the tacos are my favorite too. I’m not sure about the margaritas I don’t drink, but they looked inviting. And I really liked my server, she was great.
